Snacks for CAASPP Testing Days
The Frazier Squad has requested some yummy, healthy snacks to help make standardized testing just a little more fun. Please visit the our Sign Up Genius page and volunteer to bring a snack for the class to share in the coming weeks of testing.
Testing Schedule
Week of 4/29: English Language Arts, 8:45am-12:00pm
Week of 5/6: Math, 8:45am-12:00pm
Week of 5/22: Science, 8:45am-12:00pm
During our testing weeks, please make every effort to get your child to school on time, well-fed and well-rested. In addition, please try to avoid any appointments during the school day during testing time. Of course, I realize that it's not always possible to schedule appointments after the school day. Any effort in this area is appreciated. If they are sick, please keep your child home. It's best if they return to school healthy and ready for testing.

Environmental Education Resource
On Monday, we had a lot of conversation in class about Earth Day, sustainability, and small changes we can all make that can have a big impact. Students shared their own experiences and ways that they work to protect the planet every day, not just on Earth Day. I thought I would pass on this fantastic resource from the California Academy of Sciences. Your Plan, Your Planet is an interactive module that takes you through the choices we all make on a daily basis and teaches you better options for the planet. I thought it might be interesting to walk through with your children if you're so inclined. Enjoy!
Kiddo Donation Day!
Thursday, May 2nd, is Kiddo! Donation Day. I want you to know how truly grateful I am to teach in a district that honors and supports the arts. Thanks to the financial support from Kiddo! all 5th grade children have PE, art, music, dance, poetry, a library aide, a classroom aide, and Walk Through the Revolution. Kiddo! also funds teacher grants and our district-wide instructional technology coach as well as District-wide Global Studies instructor.
